Matelys is composed by three researchers/managers which own the whole company shares:

• Dr. François-Xavier Bécot
  (PhD in acoustics and vibrations from INSA Lyon - France - and U. of Chalmers - Sweden)

• Ing. Fabien Chevillotte
  (Engineer degree from Ecole Catholique des Arts et Métiers de Lyon - France; MSc in mechanical engineering from U. of Sherbrooke - Canada)

• Dr. Luc Jaouen 
  (PhD in acoustics from U. of Maine - France - and mechanical engineering from U. of Sherbrooke - Canada)

In addition, Matelys has a scientific advisory board:

Know-how

Matelys main competences are:

• the acoustic and elastic characterizations of porous materials,
• the modelling of macro- and micro-perforated acoustic material,
• the microstructure optimisation of acoustical porous media,
• the design of on-demand softwares (acquisition, computation...) for your acoustic & vibration needs.

From its experience gained at manipulating a large bench of standard and innovative materials, Matelys designs and implements tools to predict the vibro-acoustic behavior of porous media.

From its knowledge concerning the vibro-acoustic behaviour of poro-elastic materials, Matelys carries out engineering studies in the domain of transportation, building acoustics, machineries and domestic equipment.

Finally, Matelys sets up specific, on-demand training programs on acoustics and vibrations (sound absorption or insulation, outdoor and indoor sound propagation, measurement techniques of acoustic or elastic parameters for porous media...).
